Wilh the right instrumentalisation of urban planning it is possible to redefine and
remodel port-city relations to ensure a suitable global use and integration of both through new
functional activities which fulfill needs of the community. In order to do so it is necessary to propose
dynamic communication alternatives within a contact surface (interface), where the priority is to
enhance current values such as environmental protection and understanding, leisure, outdoor activities
etc, which with the help of suitable technology construct and create compatible complementary public
services that serve a modern innovative society while enhancing the harmony between practical and
aesthetic elements, always to the service of the citizen.
