Resumen
The table made of concrete, steel, aluminium and glass, which stands, elegantly
supported, in the area for sporting vesseIs of Barba te Port, is in no way in or out of place in an
"architectural no place", although this may appear to be the case when taking a birdseye view
approximation, as there is no attachment to secondary elements that fit it into the territory. Although
it is an independent object erected in the new area of the port, it holds a narrow dialogue with the
particular conditions of its environment : the pairing of light and mist which characterises the area;
the textures and material aspects characteristic of contemporary maritime wharfs ... and more
specifically, the building intended for the Port Authority, also by the same author, without which it
would be impossible to understand the existence of the services building, given the discreet and
intimate dialogue between them. This architecture materialises with the construction of a single piece
of furniture, with a board and concrete legs: without any structural joints, it supports and provides
shelter to the commercial premises and facilities. This is where the diligence and skill of the author
when using the materials are showcased.
